Saturday, March 2nd 2019 9:00am - 1:00pm (Lunch included)

Because of the history of slavery and generations of racial oppression, many people in America today are dealing with generational trauma. For these individuals, families, and our nation to recover, we all need to address and begin the process of healing from this trauma. This is one of the first steps towards unity and healing. The Church has a role to play in helping suffering people in its communities. Please join this dialogue to find out how you can get involved.

This special convening session, hosted by Quest Movement of Camden, NJ and American Bible Society of Philadelphia, PA, will introduce church and organizational leaders in the Camden-Philadelphia area to the Trauma Healing Institute's newly developed Healing the Wounds of Generational Trauma: The Black White American Experience and its associated program model - a proven approach using applied Scripture and best mental health principles.

This 4-hour convening session will include:

  • A viewing of the Emmy-nominated documentary, Unchained
  • A short Q&A
  • A walk-through of a lesson from the Healing the Wounds of Generational Trauma: The Black and White American Experience
  • An invitation for you or members of your organization to be trained in the materials in April
  • Lunch

Registration deadline: Friday, February 26th, 2019

This is a free event, but registration will be capped at 70 people.
